Laocoon - Inclusive Collective

A grassroots collective in Lille supporting neurodivergent and queer people through low-pressure art workshops, peer connection and accessible creative spaces.

Laocoon is a small collective based in Lille, founded in 2019 to support neurodivergent and queer people through shared artistic activities and peer connection. The collective emphasises accessible creative expression, primarily through low-pressure art workshops, crafting, and digital spaces. I co-founded it and continue to contribute to its structure, visual identity, and in-person sessions.

Key activities

  • Monthly low-stim craft workshops: ATCs, illustration, collage
  • Material curation, accessible setups and adaptable formats
  • Peer exchange, support discussions and shared strategies
  • Annual presence at Lille Pride Village
  • Discord community with occasional low-key gaming sessions

My role

Designer of the visual identity (logo, flyers, social visuals). Organiser and on-site support for workshops. Material logistics and setup for activities. Maintainer of the Discord space and informal coordination.

Notes

This is not a large-scale initiative, but a quiet, intentional space where neurodivergent people can make things, talk freely, and breathe a bit easier. We do what we can, with the energy we have, and it matters.
